Heroes of Healing

A Pain Survivor Community

Hello

I'm still trying to find my way around so I'm not sure who will see this, so whoever you are, hello. I'm just wondering how many of you have had the privilege of meeting Nicole? I would be so honored to meet her. Nicole, if you are reading this, hi!!! Congratulations on your baby!

I've been really struggling with pain due to our rainy weather here in Oregon. I'm looking forward to some dry weather.

I have a goal to reduce some of my medications this spring or summer and was wondering if any of you have some advice on how to do it. I'm on several different meds and don't really know when and how to begin. If anyone can help me I would appreciate any advice. Well, I'm off to class so bye for now.

Hi Vicki,

Thank you so much for the sweet thoughts. I am doing well and so is Baby Will! He is just perfect. I feel so bad that I have been MIA, but I know that right now, I need to spend time with him and enjoy these moments. I also know that everyone understands!

I hope everyone remembers that we are all survivors and we help each other so much. I am sending healing wishes to all. Miss you!

Hugs,

Nicole

Who prescribes your pain medication?  It is best to have their assistance in reducing your medications.  More information as to why you need pain medications would help with a better answer.  Hope you are successful!

Hi Vicki,

I think it is terrific that you want to reduce the amount of meds which you are presently taking. However, I don't think that doing this on your own would be a very good idea. In my opinion, I would suggest discussing this with your doctor - the one who prescribes the meds. Tell him what you want to do and he will guide you through the process. It could be dangerous to do this on your own, and I definately think it should be done under the close supervision of your doctor. I wish you the best of luck, and please keep me posted on your progress!

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Stacie

Vicki,

Just as everyone else has said, I also think you should speak with your doctor before lowering or adjusting any medications.
