"Hallie, I completely understand where you are coming from and why you would feel the way you do. I do not consider myself religious, but I am spiritual. I really found comfort in looking outside the box...looking at energy (or chi) and how it…"

Pill bottles as flower "vase"

I thought you might find this image particularly interesting.  I managed to find a way to recycle & re-use my old ugly pill bottles, this is a lot more cheerful & the warning labels even serve as some decorative contrast for my pretty bluebells from the front yard!  Hope this gives you a good laugh!See More

Better outlook -- even while pain sticks around, & gets worse

Hi friends & Nicole!  Here is a little update on me.  I saw a new doctor, or at least his PA, on Thursday, visited with some family nearby, and went back home with my significant other.   I also completed all of my school work for the MBA program on time & was able to stay on top of the content this week, as the load lightened when I found some supportive online resources and we switched directions in Economics to a variety of topics I already studied in the previous term.   Even though…See More

Introduction - Who, what, where & maybe a little bit of why

This is my first blog post on Heroes of Healing, & I want to first say how hopeful I am to use this forum & blog to communicate some of my thoughts on my journey through chronic pain.  I hope those who choose to read it will find my stories, struggles, thoughts, and hope for some new changes in my treatment plan, my pain journey.  Encouragement, constructive advice or suggestions, or even questions and ideas about treatments or special supplements, etc., are important to me for any one…See More

Frustration has become my entire life =(

I am in the 4th week of a month that included 3 to 4 bad days every week for my chronic neuropathic pain (this pain is very similar to CRPS).  So its been 4 weeks of up to 4 bad days each week, when I am more used to an average pain day of 4 or 5, with around 1 or 2 really bad days.  This is driving me crazy as I can't concentrate & I feel like my life has completely stalled.

I am terrified of feeling like I have lost control to the point that I can do nothing to help…

Hi Hallie!

Welcome to Heroes of Healing! I think you will find this to be a wonderful site. Everyone is very caring and compassionate, and I think you will find Nicole's messages, as well as the various conversations to be very thought-provoking. We all need to lean on each other as dealing with our pain can be very difficult and isolating. Just know that you are never alone!

Have a comfortable evening!

Stacie
